Our group getting honored at the nightly sacred Aarti ceremony. We're just to the left of Pujya Swamiji and Sadhviji, and at 30 mins in we get a sacred rudraksha tree to plant on the grounds.

I arrived in Rishikesh as a volunteer to do seva with Sami, who headed the Acupuncture/Naturopathy Medical Camp which included 18 practitioners, interns, and volunteers. The Camp, sponsored by Parmarth Niketan Ashram, had a mission: To be of service and to make the world a better place for those in need. Through seva, I experienced an opening of the heart and would do it again. We then headed out to Anandpur Sahib-- an oasis of beauty and calm; then to Dharamsala to sit with H.H. Dalai Lama. India, seva, new friends, challenging travel -- all this upon reflection will bring you to an awareness that we are all One, doing our part no matter how grand or how small. I was truly appreciative of how Sami put the trip together so we could experience India. Thank you, Sami! -- D.P.
I have participated in three trips with Spirit Voyages (2 to India, 1 to Thailand). Each trip is rewarding and exciting, both culturally and professionally as a naturopathic doctor. I'm grateful to Sami and 3 Treasures Acupuncture for her efforts and organization to create these wonderful opportunities to serve, and to travel globally.-- K.S.
It was a privilege to volunteer with the 3 Treasures Acupuncture group during our adventures in India this October. As a musical composer and martial artist, I have had opportunities to travel quite extensively internationally, but had not been to India so I eagerly joined the ensemble. It is always a humbling experience to open one’s heart and mind to people who may have less worldly accumulation of things - yet have so much to offer in terms of spirituality and gratitude. Wonderful group of people, well-organized event, and a lot of fun!-- WL
The trip Sami organized to India, the mother land, far surpassed my wildest expectations. In a mere 2+ weeks, we traveled from beautiful lands home to Hinduism, to Sikhism and finally, Buddhism. This diverse experience is all thanks to Sami’s thoughtful intention and admirable knowledge about India and traveling throughout . She’s not an easy landscape, she may even be the best test of your will, but India expanded me in ways I’m still uncovering. Sami, thank you from my heart for organizing this trip, and subsequently returning me to the mother. -- KP
"I have been on two trips with Sami so far and I have learned a great deal from her and everyone involved including our patients and the locals. The clinics have been eye opening for me in regards to cultures and customs as well as prevalence of ailments in different corners of the world based on climate and diet.
When traveling for sightseeing or business, one only sees the cultures at the surface. A free service such as our medicine to those in need is a great gift to the providers to whom hearts open up and gratitude pours out. I have had some of the purest heart to heart interactions of my life with patients on these trips. Language barriers disappear with a simple smile or a nod of relief. Just showing up to underserved towns and villages gives people hope and uplifts their spirits and that alone makes these trips worthwhile.
The amount of time that Sami puts into organizing these trips is astounding. While there is a plan for everyday of the trip outside of clinic, she keeps a few flexible days on the itinerary for those who want to venture off." --B. S. Flagstaff, AZ
